Oriol Pla Casas is an audiovisual communication and science outreach specialist whose career focuses on scientific and technical dissemination. His work centers on the intersection of technological progress, technological sovereignty, and the optimization of publication impact to reach audience segments across fragmented digital environments. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and specialized in Social Network Analysis at the Universiteit Twente. During his final academic stage, he researched the infrastructuralization of social networks and the social and structural impacts of this fragmentation. Subsequently, he worked in the communication and outreach department for scientific projects at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), supporting initiatives such as PerMedCoE, CREXDATA, AINA, eFlows4HPC, and SAFEXPLAIN. His work translates complex technological systems—such as artificial intelligence and cutting-edge computer architecture—into visual, human-centered, and accessible narratives.
